Every color under the rainbow!!!

So, I took some pics of some of the clothing we have gotten so far. I did it for fun, and also so I could show everyone that you can buy a lot of different colors for a baby when you don't know the gender. For some reason, everyone keeps asking me if we are mainly buying green and yellow. Nope.... not even kinda. I guess that is the common perception, but apparently, I didn't get the memo. Therefore, my child will be as colorful as me.

Here are a few that I got from katequinnorganics.com the other day.......

and these are cute little onsies from wilddill.com that are natural color with a little animal on them and they came in such cute bags, I haven't been able to take them out yet....

and the rest of these we got from a little store by us in the circle called Two Little Monkeys. I absolutely love that store. I think we are going to go down there this weekend to get this book called "Walter the Farting Dog", so Eric can start reading it to the baby. For some reason, we find that book quite amusing!!! anyhoo, here are some of the things we have gotten from there...

a few more.....

and for fun, here are some of the really cute cloth diapers I have already gotten. Most of these are fitted diapers, but there are a few AIO's, pocket, covers and even some pre-folds in the background.

Aren't they adorable!!

I guess that is all. I went to my 30 week visit on monday and everything is fabulous. I hope all is well with everyone else as well!!

oh baby.....

Well, I guess I have slacked a little on updating lately. Needless to say, everything has been going really well.
I had my 28 week prenatal appointment last monday. As usual, everything looks good and right on par. I took my Glucose Tolerance test (where they have you drink this god awful sugar drink and then test your blood sugar an hour later) and passed it. That was refreshing. I also got my 28 week Rhogam shot which is something you get if your blood type is negative and therefore you are RH negative. Some women choose not to get the 28 week, but most do... and I did. It was developed to protect the baby just incase they are born with a positive  blood type. The shot keeps my body from building antibodies against that positive blood, if our bloods were to interact, and therefore keeping the baby and future babies with possible positive blood types safe. Don't know if I explained that well, but you can google it if I didn't. Anyhoo, it was a shot in the butt and it wasn't too bad. I am now going to my prenatal visits every two weeks and I can't believe next week will be my 30 week check-up. CRAZY!!

I have been sleeping a lot better lately. I think I have finally figured out what is comfortable for me. Maybe being a little more tired has helped, too.

We have been going to our Bradley classes and they are going great. The education has been really helpful and I hope that it all carries over to giving birth. I honestly feel that I will be more prepared for getting through labor having taken these classes.

This weekend, Eric and I finally started getting the baby's room in order. Eric really kicked butt on saturday and did a lot of carrying of heavy things the whole weekend. There is still just a couple of things left to do in there, but only minor clean up things. I woke up this morning feeling so great about what we accomplished even if my body didn't feel as great. I definitely am sore. I have really been having to start taking things easy lately, and I am already noticing that things like getting up off the floor isn't as easy as it used to be. It is actually quite comical to watch.
We went to buy the big crib and the dresser yesterday, but we found out that they will be on sale 4th of july weekend. So, we decided to wait. Seeing the baby's room all empty just waiting for stuff makes everything so much more real. Just saying baby's room makes it more real!!
We still have tons of things to get, but I think we will be fine. I also stop working two weeks before my due date, so that will give me time to nest properly. I think we have decided that I am going to take off work into the new year. At first, I was only going to take off two months after the baby was born, but we feel the baby will only benefit from me being home a little longer, and luckily we can make it work.

So, here are my latest obligatory belly photos. It's getting bigger and bigger!!!

28 weeks
